Hi, I’m Mark — the creator of Funzo’s Phonics!
For the past 3 years, I’ve brought the magic of phonics to over 20 nurseries across Liverpool, teaching fun, focused early reading skills each week. 💬🔤
Before launching Funzo’s, I spent over a decade teaching in Early Years classrooms, helping little learners build the foundations for lifelong reading success. 📚💫
Now, with the help of my alien friend Funzo 👽, I’m on a mission to make phonics exciting, accessible, and effective for every child!

We’re buzzing to welcome Dan to the Funzo’s Phonics team!
Dan has completed extensive Funzo’s Phonics training, and he brings a brilliant mix of experience to the team — from mentoring in schools and coaching children’s football teams, to becoming a published author! 📖⚽️🎓
Dan’s passionate about helping children build confidence and creativity, and he’ll soon be bringing the Funzo energy to nurseries across North Liverpool!

Paul has recently joined the Funzo’s Phonics team, as we grow across Liverpool! 🚀
After spending 10 years teaching phonics in China, Paul is now back in his hometown of Liverpool, bringing a world of experience and a passion for early literacy. 🌍🔤
He’ll be delivering fun, focused phonics sessions in nurseries across South Liverpool, and also running parent classes to support learning at home. 👨👩👧📘
We’re thrilled to have Paul on board — and we can’t wait for you to see him (and Funzo!) in action! 👽✨
